These Terms & Conditions apply to all sales made in-store and online. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
1. Spare Parts
We strongly recommend that all spare parts are fitted by a competent and trained engineer.
- Rough handling, impact damage, or incorrect installation may cause irreparable internal or external damage.
- A fault in another component may cause a new part to appear faulty, even if it is in perfect working order.
- Incorrect fitting, modification to circuitry, or fitting alongside a faulty component may damage the part.
Spare parts are supplied on the understanding that once fitted, they are non-returnable, unless proven to be faulty.
We do not supply parts on a trial-and-error basis.
Returns & Refunds (Spare Parts)
- Parts must be unused and not fitted
- Returned in original, unopened packaging
- Return must be agreed in advance
- Postage costs are non-refundable
- A 50% restocking fee applies to approved returns
Parts found to be used or fitted will not be refunded. Special-order spare parts are non-cancellable and non-returnable unless faulty.
2. Stock Availability
Stock availability information is updated regularly but may occasionally be inaccurate. Manufacturers may change specifications or discontinue products without notice.
If an item cannot be supplied, any payment made will be refunded in full.
3. Domestic Appliances – Warranty
All domestic appliances include a minimum 12-month manufacturer’s warranty unless stated otherwise.
- Extended warranties must be registered by the customer where required
- Warranty claims should be made directly with the manufacturer
- Faults within the first 28 days should be reported to us
The warranty does not cover misuse, neglect, accidental damage, consumables, or non-domestic use.
4. Manufacturing Defects (Under 28 Days)
If a genuine manufacturing defect occurs within 28 days, please contact us.
We may arrange a repair, exchange, or full refund where appropriate. Collection will be arranged at no cost where a fault is confirmed.
5. Change of Mind Returns (Non-Faulty Goods)
Non-faulty goods may be returned within 14 days of receipt provided they are unused, in original packaging, and in the same condition supplied.
- Delivery and service charges are non-refundable
- Installed or used appliances may be subject to a refund of up to 50%
- Special-order items are non-returnable
No refund will be issued for damaged, used, or incomplete items.
6. Repairs – Uncollected Items
Items left uncollected for more than three months may be sold or disposed of to recover costs.
7. Insurance & Liability
Customers are advised to insure goods against accidental damage, loss, or theft.
ASD Home Appliances trading as Appliance Spares Direct Ltd shall not be liable for loss or damage arising from use, installation, or repair except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
8. Delivery – Spare Parts
Small items are dispatched via Royal Mail First Class or Recorded Delivery. Delivery is typically 1–3 working days within the UK.
Postage costs are non-refundable unless goods are faulty.
9. Delivery – Domestic Appliances
Free local delivery is available to FY1–FY8 and PR1–PR4 (Blackpool, Fylde Coast & parts of Preston).
- Free ground-floor delivery or properties with working lifts
- Charges may apply for stairs without lift access
- Packaging and old appliance removal available on request
Installation services are available; charges apply to built-in appliances.
10. Consumer Rights – Online & Distance Selling
Online customers may cancel their order within 14 days of receipt under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
- Goods must be returned in original condition
- Return costs are the responsibility of the customer unless faulty
- Refunds processed within 14 days of returned goods
Faulty goods will be collected at no cost. Items under 28 days old qualify for a full refund or replacement.
