Floorcare: vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners and steam cleaners
Nothing picks up household dust and dirt better than a vacuum cleaner. They're quick and easy to use, and there are different types suited to different jobs. We can supply vacuum cleaners from manufacturers such as Dyson, Sebo, Oreck, Panasonic, Siemens, Gtech, Bissell and many more.
Which type of vacuum?
- Upright: the most efficient choice for cleaning large floor areas.
- Cylinder: easy to store and manoeuvre, often the perfect choice for a small flat.
- Tub: tough enough for bigger debris like bits of brick or wallpaper that could block an upright. The Numatic Henry is a classic example.
Bagged vs. bagless
- Bagged: dust and dirt are sealed away in the bag, making emptying quick and clean.
- Bagless: no bags to buy, and you can see when it needs emptying. Dyson are the leading name in bagless cleaning.
Choosing the right appliance
When choosing a new vacuum or floor cleaner, consider the following:
- Home size: a larger home may suit an upright, while a cylinder is ideal for smaller spaces.
- Floor type: think about the mix of carpets and hard floors in your home.
- Storage: check you have room to store it when it's not in use.
